With more than 80 years of experience in designing bicycle locks, Basta has managed to find a solid place in the market. Especially in Scandinavia, Basta has had a large place in the industry for the last many years. On the one hand, Basta sells quality bicycle locks to consumers, and on the other hand, they sell bicycle locks to bicycle manufacturers and are thus standard locks on many bicycles. Basta was invented by the Danish Martin Jensen, who founded basta back in 1936.

The most popular locks from Basta

For many years, Basta was primarily known for selling snap locks, and for many years, the snap lock was actually called a "Basta lock". It is still Basta's most popular product. In recent years, Basta has expanded their range of locks, and today Basta sells many different types of locks, including ring locks, cable locks and chain locks. Production has now moved to the Netherlands, where it is easier to produce locks that can be approved in accordance with EU quality requirements.
